With our next event Women in Worship and Warfare happening next month, we thought it was fitting to ask some ladies what worship means to them. Below, our Freewoman, Dami, gives her perspective on what she believes worship means…
“Worship is my response to God’s love and His worth to me. The love of God is constant, He is faithful even when I am not, He remains true, He is my counsellor, provider, healer , friend , Jehovah just to name a few.
Therefore the condition of my heart in how I respond to what I know and see of God is my worship. For me that is what it means to worship God in spirit ( from my heart, inner self) John 4:23.
Now my worship should not change despite the contradiction of where I am and where I believe I should be. The truth of who God is does not change in my seasons. We are reminded that God will never leave nor forsake us Deuteronomy 31:6. To worship God in truth has as much to do with the faith I profess after all we must believe first that God exists and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
…..Now this is the truth . This is worship”.
Over the next days, there will be posts from others on what worship means to them. What does worship mean to you? Please leave a comment, we would love to know.
