Exam season is finally upon us and I felt that it was fitting to share some of my top scriptures and affirmations that got me through this period when I did my exams this time last year.

I pray that as you read these that it encourages you. I pray that it helps to cast out any doubts or fear that you may be feeling and strengthens your faith in God! God will never fail you and He will never make you fail, amen!

Don’t be afraid.

Daniel 10:19 – He said, “O man, highly regarded and greatly beloved, do not be afraid. Peace be to you; take courage and be strong.” Now when he had spoken to me, I was strengthened and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

Walk in faith.

2 Corinthians 5:7 – For we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises

You have the victory!

1 Corinthians 15:57 – But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.

You will do well in exams giving God the glory alone…not your lecturers or your examination markers. Not to please your family or friends but to please God. 

Colossians 3:23-24 – Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

God will give you favour like He granted Daniel. You will have favour in the eyes of your examination markers.

Daniel 1:9 – Now God granted Daniel favour and compassion in the sight of the commander of the officials.

Trust in the Lord always, some people will rely or trust on other things to get them through the exam season. Don’t give in to what they are doing. Fixate your eyes on the Lord because He will guide you through. 

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]

Exams season can be a very tough period. It can be a trial to some of us but we are to enjoy this time not endure it. God sets us trials for a reason so that our faith can be tested and that we can overcome it with His love. 

James 1:2-4 –   Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

God knows that you might be feeling anxious or worried. He just wants you cast it onto Him so that you can have peace and be relieved with His joy and filled with His faith. 

1 Peter 5:6-7 – Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honour in His service] at the appropriate time, casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].

Tell God what you want to achieve, tell God what grade you want! He will establish all your plans if you commit to Him.

Proverbs 16:3 – Commit your works to the Lord [submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance].

AFFIRMATIONS:

I have the spirit of excellence within me, I will do extremely well in all of my exams.

I will retain every information pertaining to my exams and as I do my exams, I will answer each question with ease, confidence and peace of mind. 

God has total control of my exams, my exam markers, my results and my future. It is all in God’s hands.

God is my strength, I can do all things through Him who gives me strength. I will not be weary or be distressed during my exams.

I will rejoice because it’s already done. I have already passed in Jesus name. Thank you Father.

I cover my mind with the blood of Jesus. I cast out every fear and every doubt in Jesus name. 

I will not dwell on past failures. I will forget what is behind and move forward and have faith that God will not cause me to fail during this season. 

God will grant me favour in the eyes of the examiners. When the examiners see my papers, they will have no choice but to give me great marks. 

God is faithful, God loves me and cares about every area in my life. No matter how big or small and this includes my exams. He will guide me throughout this season.

I trust God completely. I have peace. I am excited to do my exams because I know God will be glorified. In Jesus Name, amen!
